Before there was Photoshop ....

It's too bad that Grandma Francis is not available to add Craig to the family picture in July, but Lisa can take some tips from this photographic gem.

Anne the Accessorizer

Tonight at Mom and Dad's I found this lovely photo while returning some items to the small pantry closet. The picture is not in the best shape, but the subject is priceless. I was just thinking today how I actually miss the days of Rachel's excessive accessorizing and her multi-ponytail hairdos. They really do grow up fast.

Proud of His Shiner

Rich, do you remember how you received that lovely eye shadow? I remember taking the picture but not how you go it.

Oahu 1986

Beach Fun 1986

Another fine piece of photography. Couldn't have waited a few more seconds for the scenery to move on past from behind the boys' heads. Alas.
Was I the world's best photographer or what? Sorry, Doug.
Mom was always great about playing with us. Love Anne's smile.
Snorkeling Dave. Proof you can get a sunburn even on overcast days.
What's your vote for best part of this picture: the posture, the hair, or the sun glasses?

Aunts and Uncles are Awesome!

Rachel and Nathan are blessed to have wonderful aunts and uncles. I wish I had pictures of all of you to post at the moment. We truly love and appreciate you all.

Blessing Day for Rachie

We can't wait until its time for Baby Ava's blessing!
Dave really enjoys baby blessings. The gentleman to the far left is Steve's dad, Norm Jensen.

Gridley Snow

What handsome boys!

All Hail the Triumphant Fishermen

We were clearly pleased with our catch at Burney Falls. Love the yellow Impala station wagon.

January Birthday Boys

Do you suppose that was Richie's favorite shirt or just a lucky coincidence? One picture shows a girl masquerading as a kind big sister. In the other picture, the true persona emerges.

Rare Photo

I don't know what the occasion was, but this is a rare photo of Dave as a toddler and another apology to Doug for the mistake of the photographer.

2 Lovely Ladies & 1 Funny-Looking Girl

The Great Golden Couch

This picture was taken in 1977. This beautiful golden couch moved from Grandma and Grandpa Bowling's living room to our living room on Larkin Rd. It is currently in Mom and Dad's living room reupholstered. Boy, I had big feet even as a 6 year old.

TV at Grandma and Grandpa Bowling's

I quess my kids are not the first grandchildren to be sucked into television watching at Grandma and Grandpa Bowling's house.

Handsome Hairwear

Mom and Dad both have strange-looking items on their heads.

Dental School Dining 1976

Bob & EmmaLee, I thought you would enjoy this glimpse of Mom and Dad's dental school days. I currently have a pitcher exactly like the one on the table. I remember the daisy dinner plates!

Baby Dave

Sweet hair, Baby Elvis. Love the cheeks. Happy memories of Grandma and Grandpa Bowling's backyard in Gilroy.

Not a Big Indian Fan

From the look on his face, the feeling was mutual.

Christmas Past

Christmas 1998. It appears that Steve has on the handsome, just-said-something-funny smirk and from the looks on Anne & Bob's faces, it was.
Ten years earlier, Christmas 1988. Sorry, Doug. Evidently, you were a little too tall for the photographer. It was probably Grandma Bowling. That's Uncle Verl, Grandma's brother.
Christmas 1981. The first Christmas in the living room. Rich looks a little less-than-pleased, but Dad has on a great smile.
Christmas 1980, the first Christmas in the new house. Love Dad's hair.

Christmas Cuties

Blonde Cuties 1986

I'd love to know what you were talking about. Anne, it looks like you're trying to convince him to be the fall guy in an exciting exploit. Bob, you look like your hoping for a little intervention from the photographer. Doug, remember that couch?

P.J. Floating

Who needs water when you've got a porch and pajamas.

Smiling Siblings

We're sure happy about something. It certainly isn't my hairstyle.

Ugly Duckling Pictures

Thought you might need a good laugh. These are 4th grade photos of me, 5th grade pictures of all those I'm towering over in my fine blue outfit. Rachel's comment: "Mom, that is NOT you. OH, man. This is creeping me out. I can't look at them any more."

Silver Beaver Twins

That must have been one funny "say cheese." Mom and Dad have always been awesome examples of magnifying their callings. It's wonderful that scouting recognized their many hours of faithful service.

2 sets of 3

It's fitting that Grandpa Francis would be shadowed by a basketball net. I was so excited that he was coming to see me play as a sophomore that I experienced a bad case of "nerves" and had one of my very worst games ever. I'm glad to see that my son is not the only one who didn't wear a tie to primary.
Nice pose. These were my FAVORITE p.j.s. I was quite in love with the dark-haired paramedic on Emergency at the time and would kiss the screen when his face would appear at the beginning of each episode. The boys are too cute!

Anne & Dave Hanging out under the Trees

Is that Anne and Dave or Elizabeth Swan and Kurt Cobain?

The One Who Was Missing in 1981

Our family would definitely not be complete without Bruce Lee Bob. He was smiling down on us in 1981 anxiously awaiting moments like this.

Sisters .... Brothers minus one

So, what's the story fellas? Are you smiling like that, Rich, because you gave Doug that black eye? Dave, are you just trying to remain the innocent bystander? Were Rich and I photographed in the same shirt or did we both own our own Bruin sportswear? Kobie, did you know that your dad used to wear Spiderman t-shirts, too? Note all the different shades of hair color. Bob's would be another shade of blonde.
I love this picture of me and Anne. These were the short-lived days of me as a kind older sister before we started sharing a bedroom and I did lovely things like put Anne on the counter in our bedroom because she was too little to get down and therefore could not get into my stuff. Sorry, Anne. I love you very much and wish I was granted a "do-over."

Colorado Family Fun

Anyone see a full moon last night? (That was actually a different Colorado trip, but I couldn't resist.)
You can smile like that in swimwear when you're in your 20's. Steve always hated this swimsuit--said it looked like an old lady suit. It disappeared one day never to be seen again. Looking back, I definitely agree with him.
